We arrived in Spider Meadows to a lush green meadows and empty of folks. The trail
continues up, left waterfall to Spider Gl and right fork goes to the right basin.

We left the trail about 1/2 mile in from entering the meadow and went up between
the water courses (good route).  The trail leads that to the Spider Glacier
(right photo center) via a wonderful trail and great camping spots.

We set up camp around 6900' and just above was Genius Peak (8039').  The route was
up the basin to the saddle (or on the face to avoid bad scree), and scramble to the summit.

On day two we traversed to the basin below Dumbell Mtn and headed for the notch.
The great "Goat Ledge on the other side lead to NE Dumbell, about 1/2 mile away.

The views from NE Dumbell are great, with Bonanza in front.  The summit contained the original
register from 1937, where they thought they were on Fernow.  I worked my way off to the
SE and into the snow filled basin to get the most NE point, which is higher by a couple of feet.
