Downey Creek Hike   6/6/2004

After the Flood of 10/2003, I was interested in seeing how Downey Creek trail survived.  I would say 
it's okay.  As for the Road Bridge at Downey Creek, I would say that the Forest Service should have 
repaired it after they rebuilt it to remove two cars that were trapped at the Suiattle River Trailhead .

  
I could not find a log to cross on, so I built a nice ladder (I was tipped that I may need to do this).

             
The trail at the 3 mile point is completely closed with Salmonberry, and many other places. The old 
log at Bachelor Creek.  The logjam to cross Downey Creek past Bachelor Cr. to get to Bench Lake.
